Megan Burns
Rugby Sevens
BIOGRAPHY
Megan joined the squad when she was still 18 and was this year’s Irish ’ Sevens’ Player of the Year. She did everything from ballet to horse riding in her youth, starting rugby at U15 level with Tullamore and playing for the Sacred Heart in the IRFU X7s schools’ competition. She says that being coached by current Irish captain Lucy Rock in an Irish U18 team was hugely influential. She has already played 137 games on the World Series where she has scored 95 points. Megan is a physiotherapist who juggles that work with her rugby commitments.
