BIOGRAPHY
David Harte is a two-time Olympian who represented the Irish men’s hockey team at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
With an international career spanning almost two decades and 247 caps, he is widely regarded as one of the outstanding players of his generation.
Harte captained Ireland at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, where the team made history by competing at the Olympics for the first time, and he remains one of only two players to have represented Ireland at both the Rio and Paris Games.
He has also served as a member of the Olympic Federation of Ireland’s Athlete Commission. A consistent performer and influential leader, Harte was named FIH World Goalkeeper of the Year in 2015 and 2016, recognising his exceptional reflexes, composure and command of the game.
Alongside his international success, he has enjoyed a distinguished professional club career across Europe, particularly in the Netherlands.
