BIOGRAPHY
Peter McKibbin represented Ireland in the men’s hockey tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
A midfielder from Comber, Co. Down, McKibbin attended Regent House School in Newtownards – the same school as gymnastics gold medallist Rhys McClenaghan, who competed at the same Games – and studied Sport and Exercise Science at Ulster University, graduating in 2019. He made his senior Ireland debut in 2019 and plays for Lisnagarvey HC.
He had played professionally in Germany with Großflottbeker HC in Hamburg before Paris. He won EuroHockey Championship II gold in Dublin in 2023 and was part of Ireland’s first ever FIH Pro League campaign in 2024. He accumulated 50 caps across the tournament.
