BIOGRAPHY

Sarah began her hockey journey with Avoca Hockey Club and showcased her versatility by also excelling in tennis and Gaelic football during her youth. McAuley pursued her education at University College Dublin and currently plays for Muckross Hockey Club.

Her rapid ascent in international hockey was marked by her unexpected inclusion in the Irish senior squad for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Initially brought in as a reserve due to injuries within the team, McAuley seized the opportunity and earned her place in the main squad, participating in five matches during the tournament.
