Alistair Empey

BIOGRAPHY
Alistair Empey was a non-playing travelling reserve for Ireland’s men’s hockey team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Ireland finished 6th in the tournament.
Empey attended The High School in Dublin, where he captained the school to their first Leinster Senior Cup in 2019 and to the All-Ireland Schools Hockey Championship that same year. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a first-class honours degree in Economics and Business, and subsequently moved to the Netherlands to play for SCHC Stichtsche and study for a Master’s in Finance and Investments at Rotterdam School of Management. He made his senior international debut for Ireland in 2023.
His older brother Conor Empey has also represented Ireland at international level in hockey.
